Alright, well between the checks on push and nightly on crossbow, we're testing
this build script on 7 different distro/versions containing only R and its
basic dependencies, and there are a couple other permutations on
[https://github.com/ursa-labs/arrow-r-nightly/actions]. Clearly we want this to
work as universally as possible, so if there are things that don't work, we
should test them.
