That sounds good, then we can also start with explicitly defining an actual
oldest supported version of pandas, instead of the current vague situation.
I can look into this next week:
- Do some tests with older pandas versions to check which one are actually
passing our tests (0.20.3 clearly not anymore, from the mailing list, and I
also don't think we should do effort to fix support for this old version)
- Add a version check to the pandas API shim
- Ensure we actually run tests with this defined oldest supported version of
pandas
