### Describe the bug, including details regarding any error messages, version, and platform. In #49221 we did some shenanigans (including pinning SDK versions) to account for old SDKs on CRAN runners (macOS 11.x libc++, around 5 years old) but these have now been updated when R 4.6 was released and now the fix is causing CI to fail on things which pass on CRAN now.
