### Describe the enhancement requested The Parquet format specification recently added the `FILE` LogicalType ([parquet-format#585](https://github.com/apache/parquet-format/pull/585)), with an underlying C++ implementation underway in Arrow ([#50891](https://github.com/apache/arrow/issues/50891) / [#50892](https://github.com/apache/arrow/pull/50892)).
