### Describe the enhancement requested Go 1.26 added the amd64 `simd/archsimd` package; Go 1.27 [extended it](https://go.dev/blog/simd-experiment) to arm64/wasm and added a new, fully portable simd package on top. At the moment both require `GOEXPERIMENT=simd` at build time and don't affect normal builds at all. Once stable, the ad-hoc assembly in arrow-go can be replaced with the corresponding package methods.
