It seems like the least controversial change here is to remove the use of
{{ChainedPathDetector}} from the
[observer|https://github.com/apache/aurora/blob/84b9d4a4dd456279b901b78ba1b361c9d2e92c5f/src/main/python/apache/aurora/tools/thermos_observer.py#L68-L74]
and just use the {{MesosPathDetector}}.
