Hey -- it looks like there's going to be a version 1.11.3 that needs to be
released first! I'm willing to pick up the IP Clearance checklist after that,
but it might take me a while to get there. if anybody wants to jump in on this,
that would be fine too. In the meantime, thanks for your patience
[~singingbush]... I'm not yet entirely sure what the "code drop" tag needs to
look like.
Ideally the next steps (as an ASF contributor!) would be in separate PRs that
can be applied directly on top of this one. I am wildly enthusiastic about
someone else doing this work :D Thanks so much!!!
