Emma Kellam commented on AVRO-3907:
-----------------------------------

Hi Oscar :)

After thinking it over a bit it might be best for us to just provide a version
that has black text and a version with white text for use outside of the Avro
site. My thought is that if a website uses a funky colour for their current
text colour (like red or green, or even a different shade of blue) it might not
match well with the logo icon. The white and black versions should be sufficent
to remain legible on all background colours. What are your thoughts on this?

I created a square format for the Avro logo in black ([^avro-4.svg]) and white
([^avro-5.svg]) text that I've attached to this comment. I hope you don't mind
but I also created another version of the "powered by" logo ([^avro-pb-2.svg])
that balances the icon over the Avro text a little bit better. What do you
think of the change?

Thanks!

Emma

> When completing the work for AVRO-3554 by merging [PR
> #2594|https://github.com/apache/avro/pull/2594], we should also update the
> logo on the Apache Project logos list: https://www.apache.org/logos/
> Attached are the new logos, replacing the old one. I've created an explicit
> "powered by" logo, as the default won't do.
