There are no hard rules when to bump the MSRV. My unwritten soft rule so far was to support the last 5 Rust versions, i.e. the latest version of Rust at the moment is 1.91.1, so the supported ones are: 1.91.x, 1.90.x, 1.89.x, 1.88.x and 1.87.x, where `x` is their respective latest patch version. 1.92.0 is supposed to be released in three days, so bumping our MSRV to 1.88.0 is OK for apache_avro v0.22! But in the same time we don't need anything from darling 0.22/0.23 for avro_derive urgently, so we could postpone the merge of this PR (i.e. the bump of MSRV too). -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
