Currently no explicit plans. IOs are mostly at contributor discretion until
SplitableDoFns are supported in the next quarter or two, which will enable
proper scaling. It's also likely that a cross language approach will crop up
allowing Go to use the Java version in a Go pipeline.
Migrating existing IOs to use SDFs will be on an as needed basis, but a proper
version of scalable text io will be written as a model.
In all likelyhood, if you need it before then for simple cases, we will welcome
the contribution.
