I see a Fix version set to 2.23.0, however the issue and the associated PR
appear stale. Looks like we've been adjusting fix version an a rolling basis,
therefore I am removing Fix version on this issue. If there reasons that we
must include the fix in 2.23.0 please add them to the issue and set the Fix
version back.
