I think adding a warning log is possible but I am not sure how to do version
specific code on Flink. I will take a look and let you know if I get to do it

I am waiting for the 2.29.0 before mergint it into master. I just sent an
email with a proposal to move the cut so I did not want to do things more
difficult in case we decide to do it, for ref
