Kyle Weaver commented on BEAM-7968:
-----------------------------------
Confirmed that while builtins functions are case-insensitive, UDF lookups are
case sensitive. It looks like Calcite supports case-insensitive UDF lookups at
some level (CALCITE-2928), so we could enable that in Beam's parser.
We might have to make this an option in SQL transform, since it would break
existing users who relied on case sensitivity (though relying on case
sensitivity is admittedly unwise). Also I'm curious what the use case is for
this?

> Currently, in Beam SQL, UDF is case sensitive. Is there a plan to make UDF
> case insensitive?
