Per https://beam.apache.org/contribute/jira-priorities/ moving this to P2,
since P1 is reserved for critical bugs such as data loss or test failures.
Since Beam is a volunteer project, any timeline commitments would come from an
individual or organization contributing to Beam.
That said, Java 17 support is currently in progress / under code review, so
"very soon" is a safe answer.
