      Work Description: jkukul opened a new pull request #16999:
URL: https://github.com/apache/beam/pull/16999

   Right now, the ignore_unknown_columns parameter is never
   passed from WriteToBigquery to _StreamToBigQuery
   and therefore never reaches the bq_client.insert_rows_json method.

> A new parameter, {{ignore_unknown_columns}} parameter was added to
> {{WriteToBigQuery}} in https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/BEAM-9706. We
> found out that setting this parameter to {{True}} doesn't have any effect
> right now because under the hood it's not passed to {{_StreamToBigQuery. }}
