Hmm, if the CloudObject encoding includes consistentWithEquals (I didn't think
it did) and the update operation is sensitive to this (it shouldn't be, but it
probably just does exact equality check) this makes sense. If we can rollback
and demonstrate it corrects the problem, that's great.
