I'm not opposed to discussing the interface, though you are right, this has
been discussed a lot, leading to many delays in this project. It sounds like
you are advocating for a common shared type of input/output. If that is the
case there is a very valid reason we aren't doing that. It has to do with types
native to frameworks. If you are talking about something else then let me know.
I think for now it is safe to say that no user should expect backward
compatibility from this still a very much in development, experimental
interface. It makes sense to mark it as such. I'll try to reflect that at the
top of this module.
