Valentyn Tymofieiev commented on BEAM-1251:
-------------------------------------------
Beam first introduced Python 3 support in 2.11.0 release, and we have had 5
more releases after that. There is always room for improvement in almost every
aspect of the product, and we continue to improve user and developer experience
on Python 3. In particular, additional work is coming our way to support Python
3.8 (BEAM-8494).
While such improvements will further enhance Beam Python 3 support, they should
not stop Beam Python users from using Beam on Python 3.
Therefore, I would like to close this issue to give a clear signal to Beam
users that Beam supports Python 3.
As always, feedback and contributions are welcome, see:
https://beam.apache.org/roadmap/python-sdk/#python-3-support for details. In
particular, if some issues prevent you from migrating to Python 3, we would
very much like to know about it.

> I have been trying to use google datalab with python3. As I see there are
> several packages that does not support python3 yet which google datalab
> depends on. This is one of them.
