I confirmed that I can reproduce the issue (using bonofre/beam-samples) in
2.20.0-SNAPSHOT, while 2.19.0 works fine.
I see this grpc-vendoring commit has been included in 2.*19*.0.

. What has changed for grpc vendoring since then?
