[~kaspersor] +1. I think Calcite & MetaModel each have unique capabilities. If
we can find a way to bring them closer together, the sum will be greater than
the parts. But we don't know exactly how we'd do that. This task is
intentionally bottom-up: use a part of MetaModel without worrying about the
whole. As we each become familiar with the other project, we will spot other
areas to collaborate.
A note on spelling: I mistakenly wrote "Metamodel" in this JIRA, and I have
corrected to "MetaModel". In Calcite we write "adapter", not "adaptor", and I'd
like to continue that tradition in Calcite code/documentation.
