Julian Hyde resolved CALCITE-1992.

       Resolution: Fixed
    Fix Version/s: 1.15.0

Looks very much like a duplicate of CALCITE-1987 (MONTH is converted to 
EXTRACT_DATE behind the scenes). There is a PR for that issue (not committed to 
master yet). Please check that out. If it doesn't solve your problem, please 
re-open.
