Since "Lists.transform()" was lazy evaluated, so as BlockBuilder.java:329
iterated through the "statements" list it kept calling "apply()" and thus added
new statements into the "statements" list.
After applying a simple fix to this problem by avoiding using the "transform()"
method, I discovered another problem. While my fix worked for functions in
CALCITE-1054 and CALCITE-1188, which use the unboxed values of their arguments
directly, it did the opposite for some other functions which take arguments
boxed and assume they can be nullable. I'll have to go back and figure out a
better solution, but before taking another look, my hunch is that we either
handle arguments differently in each function (NotNullImplementor) or introduce
an argument spec for NotNullImplementor.
Shall I revert the last commit?
