You don't need my (or anyone's) permission. Thanks for logging the JIRA case
first - it gave us notice that you were starting the work. I noticed, but I
didn't say anything.
Please don't assume that I will be the reviewer of this, or ask me personally
to do stuff. Like everyone on this project, I am a volunteer. If you need a
reviewer, ask on the dev list.
