Hongze Zhang commented on CALCITE-3073:
---------------------------------------

I'am a little confused with the two columns, the new {{KAFKA_TIMESTAMP}} and
the existing {{MSG_TIMESTAMP}} (sorry I'm not a Kafka expert :)). If we have to
provide a different timestamp column, hopefully we can make them well
documented so that users know which one they should use.

> Currently the KafkaAdapter consumes data from default
> offset(latest/earliest/last_offset) and runs forever. With support of from/to
> timestamp/offset, it's more flexible for users to query a specific range.
