[~donnyzone], the build system has been migrated to Gradle, so `mvn clean
package` is no longer valid.
I cannot reproduce the issue with {{./gradlew :release:assemble}}, so I'm
inclined to close the issue.
PS. I do not have cassandra/.toDelete in my local checkout, and it looks like
the file is present at your machine only.
