Stamatis Zampetakis commented on CALCITE-4475:
----------------------------------------------
Just so that we have a trace, I think it is possible to do so if you have PK-FK
joins and strong enforcement of the respective constraints.
> New Sort SEMI/ANTI Join Transpose optimization

> Project: Calcite
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: core
> Reporter: Ruben Q L
> Priority: Major
>
> If I am not mistaken, the optimization that is currently applied by
> {{SortJoinTransposeRule}} for LEFT and RIGHT joins could also by applied to
> SEMI / ANTI joins (it would be very similar to the current LEFT join
> optimization).
> It is proposed to either improve this rule to cover SEMI / ANTI joins or
> create a new dedicated rule for this matter.
