I disagree. And I thought I gave you an example, on the dev list, where it was
not possible to trim fields without affecting the results.
So, can you please give a query where trimming fields would be beneficial (i.e.
improve performance without changing the results). Let's agree on the
requirements before we start reviewing PRs.
