[~julianhyde], the existing `3.6.0` version that is used by this project is
also developed and donated by DataStax to the Apache Cassandra community. See
[https://github.com/datastax/java-driver/tree/3.6.0] for references. The 4.x is
also part of the same driver series only. IIUC, Java Driver support JDK8 and
higher.
