Yes, I feel the same. SQL is statically typed. The type of {{x}} is known at
compile time. Therefore the type of {{f(x)}} is known at compile time. The type
of {{f(x)}} is nullable if {{f(x)}} can ever return null (for any possible
value of {{x}}, based on its type).
