In UPDATE should support SET to assign to multiple columns  with a source 
select  like bellow:
UPDATE employees
 SET (salary, bonus) =
      ( SELECT salary * 1.1 as salary, bonus + 1000 as bonus
        FROM employee_changes
       WHERE employees.id = employee_changes.id )
WHERE department = 'Sales'

This sql is supported by oracle .
