What should we do?
At first thought I would suggest to keep it as is for Camel 2.9.0 release as
its based on Karaf 2.2.x,
and existing end users should be able to upgrade without issues. Also for users
who use pax-exam or the likes for unit tests, and will get bitten by the issue
of the issue we did in camel tests.
