Lukasz, thanks for the contribution. I did commit it to the trunk for now. Will
create a placeholder for doc in the wiki, we'd appreciate some documentation.
Since it's a new component and 2.12 will not be out anytime soon, I will port
it back to the maintenance branch and then close this issue.
