Claus Ibsen commented on CAMEL-21029:
-------------------------------------

No users need stability of the existing camel-ftp component and that we have
been using jsch always as the library for SCP protocol.

We should keep this as-is.
It is not worth effort to attempt to build yet another library that are not
much maintained or used (apache mina).
The Camel project has better things to work on.

> Add support for SFTP and SCP to camel-ssh

> Both SFTP and SCP protocols are built on top of SSH, but sftp is provided by
> camel-ftp (the FTP and SFTP protocols have nothing in common but their name),
> scp is provided by camel-jsch (both components leverage JSch).
> It may be worth extending the camel-ssh component to provide support for SFTP
> and SCP protocols, leveraging Apache Mina SSHD instead.
