I assume either you don't have [this
commit|https://github.com/apache/camel/commit/f4ac2a5e143be585d1a6621139ceb8399bf1a52f]
by your local copy of the master branch or you make use of a JDK other than
SUN/ORACLE one. So why the karaf feature validation fails for you.
Now using Spring Batch 2.2.1.RELEASE the feature validation of
{{camel-spring-batch}} passes.
