Design note (Claus, 2026-09-19): the rule set of the static half should not 
live in the validator; it belongs in the catalog as metadata on every 
component, data format, language and EIP: the body types (or structure) it 
accepts as input and produces as output, in the JSON the catalog already 
carries for options. Examples: file consumer out = GenericFile (text on 
convert); unmarshal json out = Map/List, or the unmarshalType when set; marshal 
out = bytes/stream; http producer out = stream; jsonpath in = JSON text or Map. 
Where the type depends on an option (unmarshalType, charset, stream caching) 
the metadata names the option.

How it gets filled: an AI pass over the component and data format sources can 
propose the in/out types for the whole catalog, in one go, the way the docs 
listings were checked; the values are then verified against the runtime: the 
message history of the reference runs (the examples of camel-jbang-examples and 
the doc examples) records the body class at each step, so a generated in/out 
type that disagrees with what actually flowed fails the check. Static metadata 
for the validator and for AIs and humans reading the catalog; the message 
history as the runtime truth that keeps it honest. Coarse categories are enough 
to start (text, bytes, stream, file, map, list, pojo, null) plus the option 
that changes them; a wrong precise type is worse than a coarse right one.

This also gives the camel-jbang-mcp catalog tools and the docs a line per 
component that people ask for today and cannot find: what is the body after 
this step.
