Claus Ibsen commented on CAMEL-25446:
-------------------------------------
Won't fix. The dev consoles are development tools, as the security model says
of the dev profile and of Camel TUI, and their JSON output is what the tools
work with. Masking the endpoint URIs there would break the features that use
them: sending to an endpoint, browsing one, and matching URIs between routes
and endpoints. A masked URI no longer reaches the endpoint it names. The text
output stays sanitized for reading.

> camel-jbang - sanitize endpoint URIs in the JSON dev-console output forwarded
> by the TUI AI panel

> Key: CAMEL-25446

> Project: Camel
> Issue Type: Improvement
> Components: camel-jbang
> Reporter: Andrea Cosentino
> Priority: Minor
>
> The JSON dev-console output the TUI forwards to the AI model (via
> tui_get_status / tui_get_table / camel_get_errors, etc.) uses the raw
> endpoint URI (Endpoint.getEndpointUri()), while the on-screen text output
> uses the sanitized form (Endpoint.toString() / URISupport.sanitizeUri()). For
> consistency with the rest of the project (e.g. ProjectRoutes.safeUri), the
> values forwarded to the model should be sanitized the same way.
> Affects the dev consoles in core/camel-console that back the status document
> and the TUI (EndpointDevConsole, RouteDevConsole, ConsumerDevConsole,
> ProducerDevConsole, KafkaDevConsole, ProcessorDetailDevConsole,
> DefaultErrorRegistry, BacklogTracer).
> Module: core/camel-console, dsl/camel-jbang/camel-jbang-plugin-tui.
