Claus Ibsen created CAMEL-25755:
-----------------------------------
Summary: camel-jbang-examples - connect-service/jms-request-reply:
request-reply, a dead letter queue and a topic on Artemis
Key: CAMEL-25755
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-25755
Project: Camel
Issue Type: Improvement
Components: camel-jbang
Reporter: Claus Ibsen
Fix For: 4.24.0
The connect-service rung of camel-jbang-examples has one JMS example, artemis,
which puts orders on a queue and takes them off. Traditional messaging has more
patterns that users need, and no example shows them:
* request-reply over JMS (InOut with a temporary reply queue),
* redelivery and a dead letter queue,
* publish-subscribe on a topic.
A new example, connect-service/jms-request-reply, shows them with the web shop
orders on an Artemis broker from camel infra. Each order asks a stock service
over request-reply. ORD-1003 cannot be reserved (not enough CAMEL-CAP), so it
is redelivered three times and then moved to orders.dead. A reserved order is
published on a topic with two subscribers, shipping and invoicing. It comes
with a Citrus YAML test, and it is also a new task for the AI benchmark.
