Claus Ibsen created CAMEL-26078:
-----------------------------------
Summary: camel-aws-cloudtrail - the CloudEvent data type says
text/plain for the JSON of the event
Key: CAMEL-26078
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-26078
Project: Camel
Issue Type: Bug
Components: camel-aws2
Affects Versions: 4.18.0, 4.22.0, 4.23.0
Reporter: Claus Ibsen
Fix For: 4.24.0
Found while adding the catalog body types of aws-cloudtrail (CAMEL-24961).
h4. 1. The CloudEvent data type says text/plain for the JSON of the event
The body of the consumer is the JSON of the CloudTrail record as a byte array
({{CloudtrailConsumer}}, main ed3d719b379c, line 269), but the
{{aws-cloudtrail:application-cloudevents}} data type sets the content type
{{text/plain}} ({{CloudtrailCloudEventDataTypeTransformer}}, line 54). Checked
on 4.24.0-SNAPSHOT with {{camel run}} and a canned CloudTrailClient bean.
*Proposed change*: {{application/json}}.
h4. 2. The page asks for a stream
The page says "The stream needs to be created prior to it being used." (line
32), which is copied from Kinesis: CloudTrail has no stream, and LookupEvents
needs no trail.
h4. Also read in the code, not run
* An event with no {{cloudTrailEvent()}} or {{eventTime()}} fails every poll on
the same event ({{CloudtrailConsumer}}, lines 269 and 136), as the start time
of the next poll does not move.
