Thomas Diesler created CAMEL-26491:
--------------------------------------
Summary: Add support for OpenID for Verifiable Presentations
(OID4VP)
Key: CAMEL-26491
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-26491
Project: Camel
Issue Type: Improvement
Reporter: Thomas Diesler
*Feature request*
OpenID for Verifiable Presentations
[OID4VP|https://openid.net/specs/openid-4-verifiable-presentations-1_0.html]
lets a Verifier request, and a Wallet present, cryptographically verifiable
credentials (e.g. SD-JWT VC, mdoc/mDL) without routing through a traditional
OAuth2 authorization flow. As verifiable-credential ecosystems (EU Digital
Identity Wallet / eIDAS 2.0, mobile driving licenses, etc.) move into
production, integration platforms are well positioned to act as the Relying
Party/Verifier in these flows directly from an integration route.
*Proposed scope*
A camel-oid4vp component acting as a Verifier, supporting:
- Building and issuing Authorization Requests per OID4VP (DCQL or Presentation
Exchange query, response_mode=direct_post/direct_post.jwt)
- Receiving and validating the Verifiable Presentation response
(signature/proof verification, nonce/audience checks)
- Exposing the verified claims (and/or raw presentation) as the exchange
body/headers for downstream route processing
*Ou of scope*
- Pluggable trust/status checking (e.g. issuer trust lists, revocation/status
list checks) so deployments can supply their own trust policy
