Adriano Machado created CAMEL-26476:
---------------------------------------

Summary: camel-core - Split EIP: a nested split corrupts the
processed items of the outer split
                 Key: CAMEL-26476
                 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-26476
             Project: Camel
          Issue Type: Sub-task
            Reporter: Adriano Machado
            Assignee: Adriano Machado
             Fix For: 4.24.0

Found in CAMEL\-25132 and reproduced with routes on main.
{{Splitter.afterSend}} reads the failure tracker from the properties of the
item exchange, and copies inherit those properties. Unlike the other three
places that use the tracker, it does not check that this splitter has
thresholds.

An inner split without thresholds counts its items in the tracker of the outer
split: 2 outer items of 3 inner items each report 8 processed items instead of
2.

An inner split with thresholds removes the tracker from the exchange of the
outer item when it completes, so the outer split reports 0 processed items
instead of 2.

{{errorThreshold}} computes failures divided by processed items, so in both
cases the outer split does not stop when it should. With 3 outer items and
{{errorThreshold\(0.5\)}}, the second item fails and the third item still runs.
