The initial PR (https://github.com/apache/camel/pull/29250) was rescoped to fix
a related but different issue: getFile()/getDirectory() path separator
inconsistency on Linux/macOS (now tracked as CAMEL-26644). The Windows silent
polling failure described in this ticket is still open and needs further
investigation to identify the actual root cause.
