Guillaume Nodet commented on CAMEL-26497:
-----------------------------------------
This issue is being investigated by a coding agent (on behalf of gnodet).
Root cause confirmed: a backport commit (CAMEL-25886) added
SftpConsumerJailStartingDirectorySymlinkIT to camel-ftp, which creates dangling
filesystem symlinks (e.g., inbox/missing.txt pointing to a non-existent file)
under
components/camel-ftp/target/ftp/SftpConsumerJailStartingDirectorySymlinkIT/.
The docs/gulpfile.js symlink:json:others task uses a broad glob pattern that
traverses into the target/ directory. When gulp walks the directory tree and
calls stat() on the dangling symlink, it gets ENOENT and fails.
This is specific to the 4.18.x branch because gulpfile.js only exists there
(main and 4.22.x do not have it).
Fix: add !**/target/** exclusion patterns to the gulp.src() glob arrays in
docs/gulpfile.js to prevent test artifacts from interfering with the docs
build. Single-PR scope on the camel-4.18.x branch.
