Claus Ibsen created CAMEL-26702:
-----------------------------------
Summary: camel-jbang - chaos screen: explain with AI what a chaos
rule did, its impact, and how to cope with it
Key: CAMEL-26702
URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/CAMEL-26702
Project: Camel
Issue Type: New Feature
Components: camel-jbang
Reporter: Claus Ibsen
Fix For: 4.24.0
The chaos screen (CAMEL-26608, CAMEL-26695) shows what a rule does live, but
not what it means. A person who adds "Downstream returns an error" wants to
know what the fault simulated, what the routes did with it, and how to make
them cope in production.
h3. Proposal: Explain with AI, as an experiment to try out
* *Chaos screen*, Shift+F8 on the selected rule: the AI panel opens with a
question about the rule and its live state: the rule, how often it fired and
its rate, the effect on the exchanges (completed, recovered, handled, failed),
the expectation, the counts of the routes and the recent faults. The AI
explains in plain words what the fault simulates, what the routes did with it,
and whether a message was lost. Then it suggests how to make the routes cope
(such as redelivery with a delay, an idempotent consumer, a circuit breaker or
a timeout) as changes to the routes, and makes them only when the user agrees.
* *Errors tab*, Shift+F8 on an error marked 🎲 (made by a chaos rule): "explain
with AI" in place of "fix with AI". The question says the error was injected on
purpose by the rule, so the AI does not chase a bug. It explains what happened
to the exchange and how the route coped. Fix with AI stays for the other errors.
As with Fix with AI, the question is put in the input of the AI panel, for the
user to send with Enter or change first.
