you are probably right;
As far as I understand the proxy route actually implies invoking on the remore
endpoint (endpoint2), right ?
I was thinking of an optional local service invocation - the service can
already be implemented, so in such cases having users do custom processors may
not be optimal; I'm still may be missing something though. Let me experiment a
bit later with this option and report back; I might offer some patch for you to
review. Please keep this JIRA open for a bit longer, reassign to me in
meantime if you prefer
