I have abandoned the effort to create the layout in the [{{website}} branch of
Camel git|https://github.com/apache/camel/tree/website/camel-website/layouts]
repository. And added a provisional first iteration of the layout in the
{{master}} branch of [camel-website
repository|https://github.com/apache/camel-website/tree/master/layouts].
The idea is to re-use the CSS from the [Camel Antora
UI|https://github.com/apache/camel-website/tree/master/antora-ui-camel] so that
any changes are immediately reflected in both Antora generated content (user
manual, component reference) and the content generated by Hugo for the rest of
the site.
Things to work on next:
* Layout of the landing page
* Having nicer footers
* Top level navigation
