Jan Bednar commented on CAMEL-13872:
------------------------------------

I dont think this is much dificult. It can be mapped with simple script. Output
of this script, which can be modified to generate htaccess file attached in
[^list.301.txt]. I also like the customized 404 - mainly because of the
splitted components (Eg aws.html can show "Did you mean: aws-cw, aws-ddb,
aws-ec2...")

> Consider 301 redirects from old to new URL

> We have so many links on StackOverflow and many other websites, but when the
> viewer will try to open the link, he will get 404 after new website release.
> It would be really nice to have mapping at least for the most common pages
> (Possibly components, dataformats, languages and EIPs)
> It will allso keep our positions in Google.
> Eg:
> [https://camel.apache.org/constant.html] should redirect to
> [https://camel.apache.org/manual/latest/constant-language.html]
> [https://camel.apache.org/activemq.html] should redirect
> [https://camel.apache.org/components/latest/activemq-component.html]
> etc.
