Absolutely, a subproject can propose changes: the point is just why it is
proposing changes. If there is a benefit for the end users, no problem. If it's
just to add an extension to the subproject, no it's not useful. The original
issue was slightly different than what you are proposing now, as I said, it was
"this doesn't work on Quarkus, lets switch to Resteasy" and from a technical
perspective, it's not a good reason to change the component.
