I'm working on an Athena Camel component and would be happy to contribute it to
this effort. It's based on the other Camel AWS2 components, so the pattern is
pretty much copy/paste from those.
While the basic API invocations are supported (StartQueryExecution,
GetQueryExecution, etc.), I'm also building support for higher level workflows
like "execute the query, poll until it's complete, if there was a failure that
is retryable, retry, and finally return the results (or give up on failure) in
out.body".
I'd be happy to contribute this if it'd be useful.
