This leads to this problem where used:

So we need to cast to Buffer to avoid this situation and we will be able to
release even with Java 11 and run with Java 8.
This was found while upgrading Camel kafka connector to 3.4.1 and noticed
troubles with syslog.
I'm fixing this stuff.
