Aemie commented on CAMEL-15300:
-------------------------------
# frontpage-design-4 seems much cleaner and neater than frontpage-design-5.
# If we are planning to use a video, it is best to use animated. People prefer
animated videos rather than a person who explains it as visuals help in better
understanding (esp documentation wise). I am not that firm on including a video
on it though rather we could include a caption to the image.
# [~aashnajena], I prefer a gear matching rather than a puzzle. I can create
an SVG using specific modules of Apache in functionalities with its logo in the
center based on the color palette of the website.
# If we wanted to include a swoosh animation along with an image ( in the
frontpage-design-4), I really would prefer it if the swoosh animation in PR#366
([https://github.com/apache/camel-website/pull/366]) could be used vertically
on the leftmost corner below the navbar.

> Our front page should highlight the key features of Camel, which we, for now,
> include in the functionalities section. I like how "key features" are listed
> on the [Django Overview Page|https://www.djangoproject.com/start/overview/]
> and the [Fedora Server Page|https://getfedora.org/en/server/]. They use big
> icons, bold headings, and one feature per row to make sure the user grasps
> the importance of each feature. I especially like the content on the Django
> page which says "Why Django?" followed by adjectives ("Ridiculously fast",
> "Incredibly versatile", "Reassuringly secure" etc). This makes it so much
> more easier and interesting to read.
